Thanks for joining me! Fruit Tree Bootcamp has been in the works now for quite a long while. The name might not have been around long, however what I’ve been doing has been the course of many years. Some of these years it didn’t seem like anything was going anywhere really, but persistence stemming from a high level of interest in growing things with a lot more diversity kept the journey alive.
My hope is that many including you, will join me not necessarily in my backyard, but perhaps in one that you have access to if not your own. Planting fruit trees and growing fantastic fruit along with the assistance of beneficial and supporting plants is what I’m diving into deeper and deeper. It’s my findings and results that are quite intriguing to say the very least.
Increasing the diversity in the backyard begins to emulate the natural setting of perhaps, a forest floor if you will. Natural occurances stemming from increased diversity like bird populations, beneficial insects, natural mulching plants are just the very beginning of what is going on here. There is so much more. So much more, that writing it all down here would turn this into a book instead of a blog post.
So what say you? You coming with or what?
Good company in a journey makes the way seem shorter. — Izaak Walton
